In 2015, a friend of mine got to know Lucía Gil Álvaro, an eleven year old girl with a genetic disease. Leber's congenital amaurosis 
This friend organized a fundraiser for Lucía and I volunteered to maintain the website (Spanish) , which had been abandoned.
This doesn't take much of my time, really.
Lucía has to be treated in Philadelphia, as the 'Scheie Eye Institute' is the only place on earth where they can.
Each treatment costs $ 35.000. People have been very generous, but there is still a long way to go before hitting that number.
Recently, a famous person who wants to remain anonymous, paid for a trip to Canada (15.000€). Sadly, tests indicated that treatment could only be done in Philadelphia.
